Education is a national-level initiative of the Amarvidya Sewa Yoga Foundation (ASYF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and assisting poor children. Whether you’re tackling healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment, or human rights, ASYF, an NGO for underprivileged children, thinks there is no better place to start than in the halls of education.
Education is both the means and the end to a better life; the means because it gives someone the ability to support themselves and the end because it raises awareness of a variety of issues, such as healthcare, appropriate social behavior, and understanding one’s rights, and helps one become a better citizen in the process.
Preschool for children ages 3-6, Non-Formal Education for children ages 6 to 14, Remedial Education for children ages 6 to 14, and Bridge Course for dropouts aged 14 to 18 are among the educational programs offered by ASYF. It is an education NGOM that works to provide education for underprivileged children who are in challenging situations, such as child labor, children of the poorest parents, children with HIV/AIDS, street and runaway children, children with rare disabilities, children who have been affected by disasters, and children who live in slums. In order to empower women and girls and their families, special focus is placed on their education.
More than 250,000 disadvantaged students have directly benefited from our Education initiative since its beginning in 2010.
49246 Children directly provided education through 240 centers in 23 states
